Makassar, July 25, 2024 – PT Masmindo Dwi Area (MDA) and PT PLN (Persero) have signed a Power Purchase Agreement, a significant milestone in achieving MDA’s production operations in Luwu, South Sulawesi. The agreement was signed by MDA President Director Trisakti Simorangkir, MDA Finance Director Tammam Jannata, and PLN UP3 Palopo Manager Rathy Shinta Utami. The event took place at the PLN Unit Induk Distribusi (UID) Sulselrabar office in Makassar on Wednesday, July 24, 2024.

MDA Project GM Fakhruddin informed that the provision of 23 MVA of electricity is crucial to meet MDA's overall production targets. He also expressed appreciation to PLN management and team, as well as MDA's commitment to fulfilling the agreement.

PLN UID Sulselrabar General Manager Moch. Andy Adchaminoerdin emphasized the importance of strong synergy between the energy and industrial sectors, particularly in supporting the national economy. "PLN is committed to providing electricity services to facilitate MDA's operations," said Andy.

Previously, in June 2024, MDA and PLN collaborated on MDA's commitment to becoming an environmentally friendly company through the use of green electricity, which is a renewable energy certificate (REC) service owned by PT PLN (Persero). This collaboration in providing REC services will make MDA the first company in Luwu Regency to have REC certification. (DY)***
