PT Masmindo Dwi Area (MDA) received an award from the Luwu Regency Government for its compliance and commitment in fulfilling regional tax obligations. This marks the second consecutive year the company has received similar recognition from the Luwu Regency Government, following a previous award in 2025.

The award serves as an appreciation for the company’s contribution in supporting regional development through sustainable tax revenues. It was presented directly by the Vice Regent of Luwu, Muh Dhevy Bijak Pawindu, during the High-Level Meeting of the Luwu Regency Regional Digitalization Acceleration and Expansion Team (TP2DD).

The Luwu Regency Government granted awards to a number of taxpayers considered consistent in fulfilling their obligations. This initiative is also part of efforts to encourage greater tax awareness and compliance in the region.

In his remarks, the Regent of Luwu emphasized that regional taxes play a crucial role in supporting development and public services. Therefore, collaboration between the government and taxpayers is seen as a key factor in strengthening the region’s fiscal capacity.

“We must work together to build this region. The taxes we manage today are meant to return to the people in the form of development,” he stated.

MDA’s Mine Technical Head (KTT), Mustafa Ibrahim, expressed his gratitude for the award presented by the Luwu Regency Government. According to him, the recognition serves as a reminder that the contribution of the business sector is not only measured by operational activities, but also by compliance in fulfilling obligations as part of its responsibility to the region.

“Although we have not yet entered the production stage, we believe that the company’s presence should begin delivering benefits from the development phase. For us, taxes are part of the company’s responsibility in supporting regional progress. This appreciation motivates us to continue making our best contribution to Luwu Regency,” said Mustafa Ibrahim.

As part of the development of the Awak Mas Project in Latimojong District, MDA will continue to grow alongside Luwu Regency through responsible investment, community empowerment, regulatory compliance, and tangible contributions to the regional economy.
